Sunday, April 22, 2007/ 8:46 PM i just woke up from a nice sleep. why so? 'cos the previous days, i had fun staying up (although some slept) with my rp peeps at east coast! well it started when all of us was to sign up for this 'lybrids star party' for some CA points. it's an overnight party starting from 2 pm till 8am the next morning and activities include are star gazing, meteor observing and those that has to do with stars. those who decided to take part are me, nathan, jun ming, aamir, mutahari, syasya, vidya, nazirah, sarreta, sarina, li jun, shi hui and huiling. 13 of us in total. so we met each other, gathered and signed up in front of RPC. the first event was some speech and talks by those 'pro' and powerful man about handling telescope and their experience using it. blah blah blah. you should know how a speech goes. 2 talks in a row. so its like from 230pm till 430pm. after that it was movie viewing. seriously, in terms of how the story line goes, i'll give it a thumbs' up. but in terms of religious believe, i'll give it a definite thumbs' down. we watched the movie armegeddon. whereby there's a handful of brave astronauts trying to save the world by bombing the meteor before it hits earth. and this movie is disbanded for muslims. those who watched should have realised and wondered that there's christianity, buddhism and hinduism being practiced in the movie, but no islamic practices. and there's definitely a reason why it is disbanded. (: but i still watched it though. only thing not to believe it. and if you were to ask why it's disbanded, ask me later. after the movie, we took some pics in the lecture theatre and so on. and we headed towards east coast. everyone was so eager! reached around 8-9pm. we started setting up the telescope and also laying down mats. we didn't even bother about them grouping us, but instead we are the ones who grouped ourselves. so the 13 of us occupied one of the mats with another 3 other girls. and watched the beautiful dark sky. the view was very beautiful. then after playing uno and poker cards, we decided to take a stroll in east coast and headed towards macdonalds. by that time it was around 12am-1am. macdonald's was damn packed and full with people, mainly most watching soccer live from espn. so we headed towards burger king instead. it was empty. seriously. BK has no business especialy during this time. i recommend them putting cable tv too although they need a higher capital to build one in order to attract more people. so we ate to fill our stomachs. while some just had ice creams, sunday pies, and fries. we bonded pretty well. and after that the whole night, we talked crap, walked around, chatted under the sky lying down on the mats and some slept. the girls' keep on disturbing us by throwing small paper balls at us. and they even recorded some of the snores. lol. but all in all, we saw some stars up close using the microscope and it was nice, blinking there brightly. =D. and heard from the rest that we missed 8 shooting stars! *humphs. lol. but we did not missed it after a few minutes we arrived back form our stroll. cos' there's another one appeared right in front of our eyes! sadly, only a short one. but some had their wishes made. we woke up at 6-7 am in the morning the next day. the floor was damn hard larh. can't really sleep well. it's not like our bed. but what can you expect. haha. we had our breakfast at macdonalds this time. some went home first. so left with 8 of us. and we chatted more while waiting for the bus to pick us up. we played frisbee captain ball with some stranger we talked with and i tell you, having some netball GIRLS really help you a lot. cos' they are girls! but we played only for 5-10 mins cos the bus arrived not soon later. the bus took us to RP. we took more pics and i got a boo boo on my knee. quite a relatively big cut. yeaps. then mutahari gave us a ride home. he left me and nathan at chua chu kang. grateful enough. thanks mu! (: yeaps. and i slept throughout the journey in 188 bus. omg larh! cos i frequently knock my head against the window glass! OUCH. and reached home. a rather fun and starry happening at east coast park with fun people. thanks guys! =D. i'm gonna watch dennise the menace now. later! Labels: east coast park |
