Saturday, April 07, 2007/ 7:55 PM i've just changed my blog skin due to recent comments that my previous blog is so translucent and difficult to read. so here is my new skin hoping that it would be clearer and better. i'm so FREE to change blog skins every so often, probably because i've got nothing better to do. haha. and with this blog skin, u cannot see the date of which the first entry is being published cos it's blocked by this 'search blog' thingy. so hope u guys bear with it like i did and treat it as my current entry so far aite? (that's so obvious. -.-) firstly, i'd like to wish xinyi a happy 15th birthday. may all your wishes and dreams be fulfilled and blessed. cheers! (: okie. i've just returned home from SAS camp and it's super exhausting, yet fun. should i list what happened day by day? or just summarise it all up short? okay. i've decided to summarise all that happened day by day. a combination of both of them! =D. first day - 3rd april 07 the first day was quite hectic and nerve-wrecking for me. during the trip to woodlands, i was in the mrt, with my mind full of questions and different possibilities that might just happen anytime. with no help from the bulky bag i was carrying, sitting in the mrt was troublesome. i had to put the bag under my seat in between my legs. so it's rather inconveniant but well, i chose a seat where there is ony 2 seats. ( if you have been in the mrt, you should know.) anyways, yeap. that's during the trip where i've got no idea what's coming up ahead. reached woodlands 20 mins later, and saw some people carrying camping gear as well, which i reckoned must be those who are going for the camp too. after waiting for another 10 mins, finally nathan showed up. sometimes i wonder, of all people, it's nathan. but oh well, it's better than nothing. at least there's someone that can accompany. walked to rp and register all those shyt. yea. i was allocated into group shangri-la 1 while nathan shangri-la 3. we were like wtf? the groups are named according to singapore hotels. there's raffles, sherrington, marriot, hilton, shangri-la, and some i can't remember. me and nathan was like, LAME! yea. sat and waited for quite sometime la. and 1 comment for those who organise this thingy, they were UN-organise. lol. while sitting, everyone was quiet la. cos don't know each other ma. all just sit there smile to each other, don't dare to open their mouths. i feel like talking to them lah. but then i think think, don't know what to talk about. so there it goes. went to our dormitories all those. rules and regulations, welcom speech, blah blah blah. first activity was ice breaking. well, you should know what happens here. introduce yourself, your hobby, all this self-introduction thingy la. we were behind schedule, so we played for less than an hour. after that, we had game safari. i also forgot what happened. LOL. that was like 4 days ago? so can't recall that much. i just know that we played captain's ball with a tomato ( squashed like a shyt. ) and water bombs, not to bomb each other, but pass behind to your group mates. lol. lazy to elaborate. and i got 2 freaking blisters from the activity. cos we all had to remove our shoes to prevent them from getting wet. after that we showered. the water was so damn SHIOK la! so cold and refreshing. it's like messaing your backs. haha. we changed our clothes and had our dinner. after that, we had this ghost hunting thingy la. the leaders say until so scary but in the end it turn out to be funny. lol. we were brought to this room where it's dark and you cant see anything. your group is supposed to walk this path together, filled with obstacles and get to the other side (exit). we went in larh. and there were screamings, ghost laughter and all those stuff related to 'ghosts'. haha. our group got lost and we took quite some time in there, finding our way out in the darkness. it was confusing la. but after a while, we hack care the ropes and obstacles, and we just go over it and chiong our way out. haha. this activity kind of bonded us a little bit. after this, we talked more now, and remembered some of those new faces. after that it was free and easy. and we planned what we are going to do for our performance during the formal dinner tomorrow night. second day - 4th april 07 woke up at 645 am as reporting time is 8am. of cos very early la. everyone is so paranoid and scared of being late. lol. so all wake up early. (the next morning all dont care about late.) yea. the shower was refreshing like f***. hahaha. seriously. i was like so wide awake after the shower. had our breakfast. it was a pathetic kind of bread with rationed jam. hahahaha. those who went for the camp should understand. the bread is not even gardenia. lol. anyway, we were like talking among ourselves, what more can u get for a 5 bucks camp. lol. after that was our first activity. headed to the basketball court. and it was scorching hot! we were like oh my god and melting. haha. but with more water games, we were soon to be 'cooled' down. haha. this time is really shoot water bomb. lol. fun and shiok. after that had our lunch. which is at 1030am! haha. but since we didn't want to be hungry later, we forced ourselves to eat. by this time everyone know each other very well, and we ate as a group, chit chatting at the same time. haha. after that, there was a delay. cos suddenly 2 of our group members went missing. so everyone was held back and must wait for them to come back. lol. the big leader was so damn bossy la. zzzzz. anyway, we found them later strolling, lost. hahaa. our group leader found them. we rehearsed for our performance, and we are doing a comedy skit. super funny la. but before the formal, retro dinner, we had another activity. the amazing race. yea. we, shangri-la 1,2,3 are against hilton 1,2,3 if i'm not wrong. yeaps. the race was so damn confusing la. we must find the clue hidden in god know's where. lol. and some are misleading. i got a slight cut on my little finger. -.-. lol. anyway, we did finished the race. but we were 2nd last. better then getting into last place! haha. we are not eliminated! LOL. lame. yea. but the best part of this activity was, it brought us as a team. we bonded very well. in my group, there's 6 boys, 7 girls. more than some of the other groups. after that, we had to wait until 7pm for the retro night dinner. we had the whole 4 hours to ourselves that time to bathe, final rehearse for the performance, change to our retro clothings and chit chat. or for some, sleep. -.-. haha. finally, 7 pm came and we were ushered to the so called 'restaurant'. haha. the leaders served us. lol. so funny and exciting la. summore our group consists of lame people, clowns, quiet people, and 'on' people. haha. cool right. yeaps. but sadly, the table only 10 people can sit together. so 3 have to separate from us. sad though. but no choice. i was one of the 10. *grins. the dinner was not bad. and the performance entertained us. it lasts for 2 and a half hours. so fun la. our performance didn't win anything. sad. but our leaders congratulate us and told us, we did our best. we lost probably because everyone cocked up with their lines. anyway, we enjoyed ourselves. before closing time, we had dance and grooves! disco and retro songs were in the air. and everyone sashayed and dance along. fun and fruitful. after that everyone changed and some bathed ( cos too sweaty after the dance.) haha. then after that, group chit chatting time. everyone shared their emails and hp numbers and all. talked and talked. the shangri-la's planned to stay up till next morning to talk and party. haha. bought some titbits and stuff before 7-11 close. haha. after that, one of the organisers and eader of the leaders joined our group and told us some ghost stories. DAMN SCARY LARH! omg. let's not talk about it. haha. but. lol. the number of people began to decrease as time passed. haha. in the end, at 330am, only around 7 of us stayed up, one was me. after 4am, left 3. hahahaa. i was too tired, so i went to sleep. third day - 5th april 07 haah. the next morning, the 3 who stayed up all night was dead-like. so funny la. we had breakfast and shower as usual. this time, all woke up quite late. 730+ am. haha. after that, there was another activity. lazy to elaborate already. lol. all was already fatigue and can't wait to go home and sleep. after that, we had our photo taking sessions. first was group, den after that the whole of us who attended this camp. so huge la the number. more than 300 i think. lol. after that we had refund of our money. and then we went to our laboratory. so cool la. not like our secondary labs. haha. then after that, we had our farewell speech. and we were released. some of us planned to go get lunch together. awww. how sweet right. only 2 and a half days, and we are already close. yeah. not all the people went. only a handful. ate at bk in causeway point. after that, we went our separate ways and home sweet home! haha. when i reached home, i slept for more like 14 hours! omg. and i'm still a little bit tired. haha. and here i am blogging about what happened a few days ago. sometimes i miss those secondary mates of mine. especially my god-siblings and those whom i always hang out with during secondary life. really miss them to bits and pieces. and i swear. i won't forget them till my last day in life. love you guys to bits and pieces. <3 okies. i think that's it. typed for so long already! my fingers are tired. haha. till then. nights!
