Wednesday, August 09, 2006/ 10:42 PM It's National Day! wohoo people! its national day! first of all, i would like to take this chance to shout - HAPPY 41TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE! cheers! =). okay. enough of it. well, the starting of the day nothing much happenened actually. just normal daily routine that i carry out when there is no school. woke up quite early to watch those shows that was broadcasted. yeah. when it ended, i got nothing better to do but to on my darling laptop. heh. initially, rose asked me along together with her sister, ayu, pei shan, fiqah and others, to go bugis shopping and after that watch the fireworks. but then again, i feel like watching the parade at home as after the parade, singapore idol will be on. so might as well watch it on television then and kinda 'reject' them. xD. spent half of the afternoon on my laptop. anyway, i did not just watch it alone at home, but at my cousin's house! well, at least it was better than staying at home watching it alone with my siblings. at least there is some entertainment when there are more people, like the saying goes - 'the more the merrier'. so yeah. spent the whole evening watching the live national day parade at my cousin's house followed by singapore idol. one comment about the national day parade - sad+brilliant. well, sad because it was the last time we will be celebrating our national day in the stadium and brilliant because the grand finale a.k.a fireworks end the parade off memorable. it was dazzling watching all the colours and light sparkling in the starry sky. i like the one where the firework will come out like a dominoe and at the same time moving like a wave. it was marvellous. well, then there was singapore idol. my favourite, rahimah rahim, didn't impressed the judges that much as they commented she went flat. actually, i agree. but never mind. only 3 managed to capture the judges heart and they are mathilda,hady and jasmine(surprisingly). well partly because she sang country songs. it suits her voice. anyway, tomorrow's result show, i'm hoping that joakim will be out. he sings like a sick dog howling through the night. oops. =x. yeah. i think that's about it. nothing to write much anymore. so see ya. wishing you a happy national day! =P |
